Details are finalized for our Game of Logging courses this fall, with Northeast Woodland Training.

Merck Forest will be offering a Women's Only Game of Logging course for Level One on September 28th. Participants receive training and certification in precision felling techniques, safety checks, and chainsaw best practices. Tuition cost is $180 per person, and we offer accommodations in our Barn Cabins for people who may be traveling from a distance at the rate of $10 / person / night.

This tour of a multi-generational family farm in northern Rhode Island is geared towards women who are interested in learning more about what is involved in managing woodlands and how to get started. 

Please plan to join us. Bring your questions about woodland management and we'll do our best to answer them. 

Note: Though the program is geared towards women, men partners and co-owners may also attend.
