Crawford Tree Farm, was the second farm to join the Tree Farm Program in Marion County. Their Tree Farm management practices were studied by local and international scientists alike, with professionals coming from as far as England and France to observe their activities. They received the WV Tree Farm of the Year twice. The original family members are no longer with us, but two generations have followed in their footsteps following the Tree Farm objectives of good multiple use management that provides for: Timber, Water, Wildlife & Recreation. We will see their road system, talk about invasive species control and many other subjects.
The farm also raises bees, hops and chickens.
