Is your home ready for the next FIRE?

The ponderosa pine forests of the Black Hills are a fire adapted ecosystem. This makes the question NOT IF a fire will occur, BUT WHEN will the next fire occur.

Join us to learn how to make your very own wreath utilizing greenery from your property! We'll cover some NTFP basics, we'll do some basic tree identification, and we'll teach you how to make a wreath and a garland. Just in time for the holiday season. This is going to be fun and educational, we can't wait to see you!

Evergreen tree clippings
Tree clippers

This Q&A session is intended to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment for women who are new to chainsaws.

On this video call natural resource professionals and fellow WOW members will be there to talk about your forests, so come prepared with questions, stories, and of course, your preferred drink or snack!

Southern Regional Extension Forestry is helping equip landowners with the knowledge to manage their woodlands. The Woodlands Stewards Webinar Series will connect landowners with forestry experts from across the southeast via locally based webinar sessions. The Woodlands Stewards series consists of 4 live, two-hour webinar sessions followed by a 5th session organized by site hosts. The free webinars will be once a week from February 21 - March 14, 2019.
