Register ($225). Max of 10 participants.

Join Guild member and forester Luke Saunders of Blue Heron Stewardship, LLC and Guild staffer Colleen Robinson for a SAWW-certified, Level 1 chainsaw safety class especially for women and woman-identifying individuals. All are welcome though. This space provides an empowering learning environment for those who want to gain initial chainsaw safety and operation skills, or learn to improve upon how they’ve been using their chainsaw already, perhaps without official training.

Participants provide their own personal protective gear if you own it. Otherwise, items will be available to borrow for the class, including a chainsaw. PPE includes:

  • safety glasses
  • hard hat
  • leather or other hardy gloves
  • sturdy, closed-toed, (preferably steel-toed) shoes or boots

If you have questions about this class, please contact [email protected]. If you are interested in a Level 1 or Level 2 course at this location this fall but cannot attend this date, let us know, as we are considering additional offerings if there is interest.
