Women's Chainsaw Safety Workshop - Maine

The Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association and the Lakes Environmental Association of Bridgton, Maine, are partnering to offer a Women's Chainsaw Safety Workshop in August.

This introductory two-day in-person field course is suitable for new or beginning chainsaw operators. Topics to be covered include personal protective equipment (PPE), saw operation and maintenance, filing, reactive forces, open-faced notch and bore cutting. The morning of Day 1 will be spent inside learning chainsaw basics, and proper PPE. In the afternoon, we will move outside to practice bucking and open-faced notch and bore cutting. Day 2 will be spent outdoors.

$200 | $150 for MOFGA members
