The Minnesota Women’s Woodland (MNWWN) Metro Area invites you to participate in a hands-on experience in sharpening and maintaining your woodland management tools under the direction of women experienced in tool sharpening and basic maintenance.  Multiple stations will focus on different tools such as chainsaw bar and chain, hand pruners, loppers, and shovels.  You can move through stations for the variety of tools you’d like to work on.  This is a great opportunity to maintain your tools and network with like-minded women who are taking care of their trees and woodlands!

Participants should bring:  1) a few clean tools that need sharpening such as chainsaw bar and chain, hand and pole pruners, loppers, shovels, and trowels; 2) needed sharpening files, oil, vice/clamp or other tools (see the owner’s manual for chainsaws); and, 3) fitted work gloves, and safety glasses if you have them.

Sponsored by the Metro Area MN Women’s Woodland Network and the Minnesota Forestry Association; with support from the Minnesota Society of Arboriculture and Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa.
