Getting Started in Woodlot Management

Event Date
Women's Tour of a Managed Family Farm

Tour a Managed Family Farm.

Saturday, the 29th of June 2019

10:00 AM to Noon.

This tour of a multi-generational family farm in northern Rhode Island is geared towards women who are interested in learning more about what is involved in managing woodlands and how to get started.

Please plan to join us. Bring your questions about woodland management and we'll do our best to answer them.

Note: Though the program is geared towards women, men partners and co-owners may also attend.

This program is free, but YOU MUST REGISTER to attend. To register and for details regarding the location of the tour, please contact Paul Dolan, Area Director, RI Resource Conservation & Development Council. 401-500-0399 or email: [email protected].

This program is made possible by a grant from the Rhode Island Tree Farm Committee allowing the Rhode Island Resource and Development Area Council partner with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Rhode Island Forest Conservators Organization, to present a series of workshops to bring together and help educate women who already own or who are interested in owning and managing woodlands.
